Every bride should know that a bridal gown always requires professional alteration. We are all beautifully unique, and very few fit perfectly into a standard measurement chart. The most important step is selecting the correct size. From there, a skilled bridal seamstress will alter the gown to complement your frame.
The essentials in brief
- Choose your size based on your measurements for bust, waist and hips, rather than your usual clothing size.
- If you are between two sizes, always choose the larger size.
- Always anticipate professional alteration. Very few bridal gowns fit perfectly without it.
- The measurement chart is available in both cm and inches and can be downloaded as a PDF.
