The trumpet silhouette hugs the body from bust to thigh and then opens into a gentle bell. It gives the same feminine hourglass as the mermaid, but the flare starts higher so you can move with ease.

We make the trumpet in lace over satin, in crêpe with stretch and in heavy mikado. The bodice is built with internal support and boning so the line holds all day without ever feeling tight.

The silhouette is made for brides who love a defined figure but want to climb the church steps, sit down for dinner and dance all night.

Trumpet or mermaid? The trumpet opens higher up and leaves far more room to walk, sit and dance. Some gowns can be made either way and appear on both pages — here they are shown with the focus on the softer flare and freedom of movement.
