Mermaid Wedding Dresses

The mermaid gown follows the body closely across bust, waist and hips and only flares around the knee. It is the silhouette that most clearly celebrates curves, creating a calm, feminine line from shoulder to train.

At Bride Desire the mermaid is made in crêpe, satin and lace with built-in support in the bodice, so the gown stays in place without pinching. Lace over a nude lining gives a soft, sheer feel, while pure satin creates a sculptural, modern line.

The silhouette is made for brides who want to highlight their figure and make a clear statement. Note that it allows less freedom of movement than the A-line, which is why we offer extended skirt width and detachable trains for dancing.
